Tickets for Japan film festival 2018

The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur and Golden Screens Cinema are giving free movie passes to hooikhawandsu.com readers in conjunction with the 15th Japanese Film Festival in Klang Valley, Penang and Johor Baru. Take a snapshot of this story on the website to redeem the passes starting Aug 30, 2018 (Thursday).

Just so you know, tickets to the JFF are priced at RM8.50, except for Ramen Heads and 3Ft Ball And Souls, which will be sold at the prevailing GSC box office price.

Tickets for all screenings can be purchased at the GSC box office or www.gsc.com.my. For more information, visit jfkl.org.my. All films are screened in Japanese with English subtitles.

The films for the 15th JFF includes the Malaysian premiere of the romance movie, Perfect World. It opens in Japan in October 2018! Based on a manga series by the same name, this is the story of a man in a wheelchair and a woman determined to show him a different world.

 

 

A family offering is Yakiniku Dragon, which is set in the 1970s. Yong Gil has immigrated to Japan from South Korea and operates a barbecue restaurant, along with his and three daughters. The daughters are a drama unto themselves when it comes to men!

Her Sketchbook is a drama where the lead actress plays a videogamer with a talent for art.
