theatrethreesixty, in its press release states it is bringing to USJ Taipan the restaging of Duncan Macmillian’s EVERY BRILLIANT THING – a funny, quirky but ultimately reflective one man show about exploring depression and those who must live with, and around it every day. While closing out theatrethreesixty’s 2017 season – it is also the debut performance for Lot’ng Art Space, a brand-new theatre in the heart of the USJ Taipan business centre.
Qahar Aqilah (The Pillowman, Angels in America), with direction from Christopher Ling, theatrethreesixty’s artistic director, enlists the audience in unfolding a story that is side-
splittingly funny and heart-breaking all at the same time.
Performed in Lot’ng Arts Space (short for Loteng) – a brand new joint venture between elias projects and theatrethreesixty, EVERY BRILLIANT THING makes full use of Lot’ng’s fully equipped black box theatre – bringing audiences as close to Qahar’s stellar performance as possible.
EVERY BRILLIANT THING may be closing out theatrethreesixty’s 2017 season RIGHT NOW, but it is the beginning of a new chapter of bringing good theatre to all Malaysian audiences.
